Today Is the Day of Salvation: Don’t Wait for Tomorrow That May Never Come

Time is a gift, and yet many people live as if they have all the time in the world. But life is a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away (James 4:14). This is why the Bible urgently declares in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” It is not tomorrow, not next Sunday, not when you retire, not when you “feel ready.” Today is the day of salvation. Tomorrow might be too late.

God’s Love Is for Everyone—But You Must Respond

The Word of God gives us this powerful declaration:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
—John 3:16-17 (KJV)

This is not just a religious saying—it is the very heart of the gospel. God’s love moved Him to give His Son. But His gift demands a response: faith in the Lord Jesus Christ

If you believe, you are saved. If you reject this gift, the Bible says you are condemned already (John 3:18). There are only two choices: accept Christ and live forever—or reject Him and face eternal separation in Hell.

What Happens When You Die?

Every human is composed of three parts: spirit, soul, and body. God formed man from the dust, breathed into him the breath of life, and man became a living soul (Genesis 2:7). When death comes, here’s what happens:

  1. The Spirit (the breath of life) returns to God who gave it.
“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” —Ecclesiastes 12:7

  2. The Body returns to the earth as dust.
“All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.” —Ecclesiastes 3:20

  3. The Soul is eternal. It never dies. It will either spend eternity in Heaven with God or in Hell, separated from God. The soul will give an account to God.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” —Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)

You will face God. You will give an account. Are you ready?

The Reality of Hell—Eternal Separation from God

Hell is not a myth or metaphor. Jesus Christ, the most loving man who ever lived, spoke more about Hell than anyone else in the Bible.

“Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.” —Mark 9:44

Jesus warns repeatedly of this place of unquenchable fire, torment, and regret. It is where those who reject Him spend eternity.

In Luke 16:19-31, Jesus tells of a rich man who died and went to Hell. He was in torment, begged for mercy, and could not even get a drop of water. He wanted someone to warn his family so they wouldn’t come to that place.

Friend, God is warning you now through His Word and this message. Don’t ignore Him.

God’s Desire Is to Save You

Despite the reality of judgment, God’s desire is that no one perish. He wants all to be saved (2 Peter 3:9). His grace and mercy are calling you right now.

“Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world…” —Galatians 1:3-4

God gave His Son for you—not just the world in general, but you personally. His death on the cross was in your place.

You Must Repent and Believe

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out…” —Acts 3:19

Repentance means turning away from sin and turning to God. It is not about cleaning yourself up to be worthy. You come to Christ as you are, confess your sins, and ask Him to change your heart.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” —Romans 10:9

Faith in Christ alone saves—not your religion, good works, or baptism. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9).

We Are All Sinners in Need of Salvation

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” —Romans 3:10
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” —Romans 3:23

No one is good enough for Heaven. Our righteousness is as filthy rags before God (Isaiah 64:6). That’s why we need a Savior.

Jesus said:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” —John 14:6

There is no other way—no other name—by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

A Personal Invitation from God

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” —John 1:12
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” —Romans 10:13

Whosoever includes you. Shall be saved means surely, not maybe.

If you are ready to turn from your sins and trust Christ, you can pray from your heart right now.

A Simple Prayer of Faith

“God be merciful to me a sinner.” —Luke 18:13

Pray something like this:
“Heavenly Father, I know that I have broken your laws and sinned against you. I am sorry for my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ died for me and rose again. I accept Him now as my Savior and Lord. Please forgive me, cleanse me, and make me your child. I give you my life today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

The words themselves are not magical. What matters is the sincerity of your heart before God.

Now That You’re Saved—What’s Next?

Salvation is not the end—it’s the beginning. To G.R.O.W. in your faith:

  • [G]o to a Bible-believing church where Christ is preached and the KJV Bible is taught. Be baptized and serve with others.
  • [R]ead your Bible daily. Start with the Book of John or Psalms. Use only the King James Bible for truth without compromise.
  • [O]ffer your prayers each day—morning and evening. Talk to God. He listens.
  • [W]itness for Christ. Share your testimony. Spread the gospel to your family, friends, and even strangers.

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” —Mark 16:15

The Narrow Road Leads to Life

“Enter ye in at the strait gate... Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” —Matthew 7:13-14

Walking with Jesus won’t always be easy. But it will be worth it. The narrow road leads to eternal life, joy, and peace that this world can never offer.

Final Words: Don’t Wait

There is no guarantee of tomorrow. Death could come unexpectedly. And after death, judgment awaits (Hebrews 9:27). If you die without Christ, there are no second chances.

But if you receive Him today, you will never regret it—in this life and in the next.

“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” —1 John 5:12

The decision is yours.

Will you receive Jesus today? Will you choose life?

**God bless you as you decide today—not tomorrow—to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.**
