Honesty is Still The Best Policy

Policy makers are crafting rules and regulations to regulate certain activities in order for such activities to become efficient and effective. "Efficient" meaning very productive (characterizes the success of the input) while "effective" means the desired result was being achieved (characterizes the success of the output). The success of such endeavor depends on one of the most important rule of success called "work with integrity or honesty". Google defined integrity as "the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles, that is, moral uprightness" and "the state of being whole and undivided". While honesty means "free from deceit or untruthfulness, that is, sincere". These qualities are very important in success. Sometimes, this rule of success is called the law of nature. Without which or defiance of which will make the whole system defective.

Talking about a system; a policy is a system. So what is a system? What I understood about a system is that it consist of three elements: input, process and output. A policy is a system because it consists of the procedures crafted which are the input. The process are the actions being taken. And the output are the results being produced. Speaking of the results; there are two results in a system - positive results and negative results. Positive results will be produced if the process or procedures are being carefully followed. While negative results are being produced if the procedures are disobeyed.

In conclusion, policies and procedures should be truthful so that the results would also be truthful. The Bible said in Matthew 7:16-20
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
The fruits follow  on whatever tree was sown. If we planted a good tree, we could also have a good fruit. If we crafted a good policy, we could also produced a good result.
